The garden has a farmyard area with miniature model animals, a wildlife area to encourage different forms of wild life to the garden and various places to sit and watch the birds and squirrels.

It has been a busy year for the care centre. As well as having a Proms Season through the summer, they have been hard at work fundraising for the new sensory and reminiscence garden, which was officially opened by the Mayor of Wisbech.

There is a potting bench and raised beds that have been designed for wheelchair users so everyone can be involved in sowing and planting if they want to.

There is a switch on one wall that when pressed starts a water feature and a couple of bubble tubes, giving the residents more interesting things to look at.

There is also a new room leading out to the garden so during cold and wet weather the residents can still enjoy looking out on the garden.

A red telephone box being made for the home is about to be delivered and CCTV cameras are about to be installed to give better views of the nesting boxes and feeding stations.

The next big fund raising event is a Christmas Fayre on Sunday November 30 from 1 – 4pm where people are welcome to look round the gardens.
