Veterans, dignitaries and the people of Whittlesey paid their respects to the fallen on Remembrance Sunday.

Among those taking part in the parade laying wreaths at the war memorial was North East Cambs MP Steve Barclay.

People lined the streets for a packed ceremony with spectators spanning the generations to mark their respects for those who have fallen in conflict.

A spokesman for the Royal British Legion said: “Great Britain still believes strongly in remembering those who fought not only in World Wars, but the more than 12,000 British Servicemen and women killed or injured since 1945.”

RBL supports silences observed during both Remembrance Sunday services and on November 11, Armistice Day, itself.
