There are just a few days to go until the 2016 Fenland Business Awards networking event which is being held next week but there is still time to book your FREE tickets.

The event will take place on Tuesday June 7, The Boathouse Business Centre, 1 Harbour Square, Wisbech, PE13 3BH from 4.30pm to 6.45pm and will include a drinks reception, guest speakers and an opportunity to network with our sponsoring companies, established and blossoming businesses in Fenland.

You will also be able to hear from previous winners including Martin Lawrence, from last year’s multi-winners Stainless Metalcraft at Chatteris.

The company, which is sponsoring the Apprentice of the Year award were winners of Employer of the Year, Medium Business of the Year and Business of the Year in 2015

Martin is a director at Metalcraft and is responsible for management of business for the volume customers which include companies such as Siemens and Cummins.

Martin lives in Chatteris and is married to Karen, they have one son who is currently studying at Cambridge Regional College.

He will be speaking alongside Michelle Crosse, Signpost 2 Grow Navigator with Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership.

She will talk about her role which is helping to connect businesses with the help, advice and funding they need to grow.

She has experience of working in both the public and private sectors, Michelle acts as a guide for businesses looking for support to grow, connecting them with everything from exporting advice and training through to grants, research and development and tax credits.

The event will run as follows:

• 4.30pm Arrival drinks

• 5pm Events and Marketing Manager of Archant Herts, Cambs & Kent, Gerald Carey

• 5.10pm Martin Lawrence, Business Unit Director, Stainless Metalcraft (Chatteris) Ltd, 2015 winner of the Business of the Year, Employer of the Year and Medium Business of the Year

• 6pm Networking

• 6.45pm Event closes

There are 12 awards in total up for grabs - 10 of which you can enter, the remaining two are Business of the Year and Judges Award and the judges choose the winners of these from all the entries.
