Archant

It was big bubbles with no troubles in Eastrea when a group of girls washed cars for the day to raise funds for outings and treats for residents at the nursing home where they work.

A team of nine got the buckets and sponges out to raise £360 towards a trip to Hunstanton later this month for some of the 55 residents at The Gables specialist nursing home.

Manager Henry Mutambo said: “Our girls like to do this as an annual event to raise money for activities and entertainment.

“They worked hard from morning until the afternoon. We’re really pleased with the result of how much was raised.”
