Thirty firefighters from March got in a spin to raise £2,100 for charity and have now officially handed over the money.

The on-call Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service staff took part in a six-hour spin cycle session at the George Campbell leisure centre for the Magpas Air Ambulance charity.

More than 20 fundraisers saddled up and clocked a whopping 3,750 miles between them on spinning bikes in a challenge organised by spinning instructor and retained crew commander for Cambridgeshire Fire and Resuce, Wayne Marshall and his colleague Tony Raine.

Magpas delivers ‘lifesaving care to patients in serious medical emergencies across the East of England and beyond’.
