THOUSANDS of people were treated to a spectacular fireworks display, a giant fun fair and a bonfire at the Skylark Showground at Wimblington on Saturday.
The Mayor of March, Councillor Jan French was on hand to open the tiny tots fireworks show and an enormous marquee housed a disco and children’s games.
Fundraisers roamed the event dressed as life sized Disney characters to raise funds for the Kisses for Kids charity, which grants wishes to terminally ill children.
Mandy Salter, organiser of the event and wife of Showground chairman Paul, said: “It was a great evening, absolutely brilliant. Everyone had a great time and the fireworks were exceptional.”
They are thinking of introducing family tickets for the first time at next year’s event.
