Three men from Newark were arrested in Boston on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following a hit and run incident at a pet warehouse shop in March.

The men, two aged 21 and a 22 year old, were taken to King’s Lynn police station where they have been bailed to March 13.

Ambulance crew were called to the Petsapply shop in March after manager Ashley Smith was in collision with a van in a hit run incident at about 1.39pm last Wednesday (19).

The man suffered an ankle injury and complained of neck pain and was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for treatment by ambulance.

The incident happened in the yard of the Petsapply store and Disability Warehouse yard in Marina Drive, March.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a collision involving a van and a pedestrian outside a pet store in Marina Drive, March.

“The driver of the van failed to stop at the scene. The pedestrian suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries, and was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for treatment.”

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicle involved.
