A charity evening held at the GER Sports and Social Club in March on Saturday evening (25) organised by Brian Mee, and the Friends of Doddington Hospital (Doddington) Branch raised £800.
The entertainment was organised by Brian’s son in law, Paul Rogers, and ex Coronation Street and Emmerdale actress Denise Black was one of the performers. Other entertainment included Dark Surrender, comedian and compere Norman Conquest, singer Holly Jean and the Andy J Disco.
At the end of the evening it was announced the total was £800, but the final amount given to the Friends of Doddington Hospital (Doddington) Branch was £900.
Maureen Coker, secretary of Doddington Branch said they were thrilled with the amount raised and thanked everyone who helped with the event.
