Young People March picked up a £100 donation after one of the group's trustees gave a slideshow presentation to the town's Rotary Club members.
Sean Brown gave a talk about the youth group at the Rotary Club's meeting on Monday, held at the Conservative Club in Creek Road.
In return the donation was made, with the money coming out of the Rotary Club's charity pot.
Albert Horton, treasurer of March Rotary Club, said: "It was a very worthwhile and very interesting talk."
The presentation came after a number of successful events organised by YPM through the summer holidays. These included a trip to London, featuring a river cruise and tours around the London Aquarium and Madame Tussauds, as well as screen printing, drumming, art and craft and recycling workshops.
Two fun days were also held. They were organised by Fenzone, a group of young people who have formed their own youth council with funding from Connexions.
