FOUR town houses could be built off March Market Place on a site formerly occupied by an estate agents.

A planning application has been received by Fenland District Council for the demolition of number 14 and the building to the back of it. Number 14 was once occupied by Harrison Murray Estate Agents.

A design and access statement from Peter Humphrey Associates for Mr G Backhurst, says a meeting has already been held with both planning and conservation officers.

Various options were discussed but it was felt that both buildings could be demolished and replaced with sympathetic new ones. While the site could accommodate both commercial and residential uses, as there is a surplus of shops and offices for rent in March, residential seemed more appropriate.
