Work to repair Bedlam Bridge starts next Monday (November 5) and will run for around a month.
While the reinforcement work is carried out, the B1099 at Upwell Road will be closed for around four weeks and a diversion will be put in place.
A Cambridgeshire County Council spokesman said: “Work is due to start on Monday (November 5) to carry out extensive concrete and reinforcement repairs on Bedlam Bridge, March, as well as replacing the waterproofing and resurfacing the deck.
“Once preparatory work is complete, the B1099 Upwell Road will be closed for around four weeks from November 7 while the work takes place and a diversion is put in place.
“To keep public disruption to a minimum, we will also take this opportunity to carry out work to protect the metal and concrete within the bridge structure from corrosion to slow any further deterioration.”
