MOTORISTS coming into March today faced massive delays as workmen continued putting in services for a new Fenland pub.
Marston’s have begun work on their new roadside restaurant/pub – to be known as Cobblestones- at Westry but this week workmen began digging up the A141 to install key services.
The works are expected to last until August 2 and further disruption can be expected in Hostmoor Avenue in August whilst further drainage work is carried out.
Temporary traffic lights are in place to keep delays to a minimum.
“Some delay to traffic is expected,” said a county council spokesman. “Drivers are being urged to allow extra time for journeys or choose an alternative route”.
