A WOMAN who took part in a drink-fuelled tirade at a takeaway has been banned from the premises for two years.

Single mum Kerry Jordan, 31, hurled a stream of racist abuse and punched one of the Turkish staff during the disturbance at the USA Chicken Shop in Broad Street, March.

The supermarket worker, who was so drunk she could remember nothing of the incident, was handed a community order with probation supervision for two years, ordered to do 160 hours' unpaid work and banned from going to the takeaway.

Jordan, of Station Road, March, and her brother, Nicholas Jordan, 39, had gone to the takeaway late on May Day bank holiday last year, Cambridge Crown Court was told last Wednesday.

Both became angry when, after being given their food, they were told by Turkish staff that the premises were closing so they would have to eat it outside. Most of the incident was caught on CCTV, with audio.

Kerry Jordan admitted attempting to rob the takeaway of the video, racially aggravated common assault and threatening behaviour. Paul Andrews, mitigating, said she was "shocked and ashamed".

Sentence on Nicholas Jordan, of Whittlesey, who admits possession of a Taser and affray, was adjourned for a psychiatric report.
