FENLAND District Council chairman, Councillor Pam Potts hosted an afternoon tea to promote the work of Fenland Twinning Association.Fenland district is twinned with Nettetal in Germany and Maroochyshire in Australia and there have been many civic exchange visits.The Twinning Association works closely with Fenland Council to maintain contact with the twinned areas and receives a grant from the council.More than 100 local people including councillors and some council staff attended the event in the Council Chamber last Wednesday.Members of the Twinning Association, led by its chairman Joan Diggle, were on hand to talk about the work of the association.
