JEWELLERY was taken from homes in two Fenland villages which have seen an increase of thieves trying to break-in to properties.
Thieves broke-in to a property in Doddington Road, Wimblington between 9.30am and 10.45pm on Saturday, November 5, and another at a home in High Street, Doddington on Friday, November 18, between 12.20pm and 4.30pm.
A further attempted break-in occurred between 6.15am and 7.15pm on Monday, November 14, in Wimblington Road, Doddington. Residents have reported seeing forensic experts at properties in the two villages several times last week.
A police spokesman believed the crimes were not linked but are keeping an open mind. He said: “We would urge people to ensure doors and windows are secured, especially at the rear of properties.”
