Two men allegedly trying car doors in Coates during the early hours of this morning caused a commotion which led to a police visit.
Officers attended Nobles Close at around 3.30am this morning following the reports.
One man was searched in the area however no further action was taken.
A police spokesman said: “We would urge members of the public to be vigilant regarding car security and to not leave valuables in sight.
“If you have been a victim of crime, or you have further information, please call us on 101.”
