One crew from Stanground and a crew and rescue vehicle from Dogsthorpe were called to a road traffic collision on the A47 eastbound between the A1 at Wansford and the Upton roundabout.
Two vehicles were involved in a collision and firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to release one casualty. Two casualties were taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
Crews returned to their stations by 11.35am.
