THE Union Flag is flying outside Fenland District Council’s offices in March today to celebrate the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s son.

Councillor Ken Mayor, chairman of Fenland District Council, said: “We’re flying the flag at Fenland Hall all day today to celebrate not only a very joyful event for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge but also a very important one for the whole country – the birth of our future King.

“We’re joining with everyone in Fenland who will wish the whole family well at this happy time.”

The duchess gave birth to her son yesterday at 4.24pm. The baby weighed 8lb 6oz.
