FIREFIGHTERS have put out a boat fire in Wisbech Yacht Harbour and prevented a potential explosion.
A boat moored by Freedom Bridge caught fire accidentally at 1.58pm today (Friday, May 25).
Two crews from Wisbech, a crew from Dogsthorpe and a rescue vehicle from Dogsthorpe attended to extinguish the blaze by 3.20pm.
They successfully moved propane cylinders from the boat to avert a potential explosion and used a hose reel and covering jet to tackle the blaze.
