PRINTER Darren Hankins of Manea –a former Neale Wade student- has assembled a collection of nostalgic postcards of the town and put them together in a two minute video.

His stunning collection, gathered together with the help of a Facebook group that looks at local history, has been put on community website Shape Your Place.

Mr Hankins has picked some nostalgic music as a backing track to his video- the 1965 “In My Place” song recorded by The Beatles and often called “There are places I remember”.

Mr Hankins urges viewers to “please watch in HD to see a better quality image. The film looks back at things in out town that have changed or disappeared and the people and vehicles of the time.”

One Shape Your Place reader told him: “It was lovely Darren thank you for your hard work, brought back many memories i.e. Palmers and all the other shops. Well done.”
