And so it begins again – the 2015 ‘Spring into Summer’ fitness campaign is launched today.

We are inviting our readers to enter our exciting ‘Spring into Summer’ competition which offers over £1,000 worth of prizes to help you improve your overall fitness and health.

In conjunction with our business awards winner Tim Megginson we’re offering places on his ’boot camp’ style fitness programmes in Soham, Chatteris and Ely.

In two weeks time we are giving six readers the chance to win a free month at camp plus other prizes and 20 FREE week places - together worth over £1,000

Throughout the month long competition you can experience at first hand what it could be like for you by following Editor John Elworthy as he embarks on this gruelling, but enthralling and rewarding, programme. He did it last year and lost a nearly a stone in weight – most of which he has managed to keep off!

You can also follow the Editor’s progress this year again on Twitter (@johnelworthy) to check both his determination to succeed and to follow his progress.

“I was seriously surprised last year by the difference it made,” he says. “Those 6am starts are something I got used to last year – and am beginning to get used to again this year,” he said.

His verdict on his two training sessions thus far this year? “Quite honestly it seems as if I’ve never been away. The programme Tim has devised sounds awesome but once you get into the routines it is amazing at how quickly you adapt your body – and your mind- to get stuck in.”

The editor’s blog will appear on the Ely Standard website in coming weeks.
