AS Councillor Ken Goodger demonstrates, there are times when a picture does indeed paint 1,000 words.
Welney has been waterlogged for weeks on end and the chairman of Welney Parish Council shows how perilous life has become for villagers cut off because of flooding on the A1101.
On Friday he met Christopher Fraser, MP for SW Norfolk, who promised to fight to persuade the Government to stop ignoring the problems of the Fens "on the basis that it would cost too much to resolve".
Meanwhile Cllr Goodger is spearheading an action group to get something done, including the possibility of raising the road level.
"We feel this has been mismanaged," he reflected, recounting the devastation to his rural community by the worst flooding in many years.
