THE proceeds of a charity road run organised by the East Anglia Group of the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club have been handed over to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The road run held during the summer at Walpole Highway raised �687, and a cheque was presented to Mary Dunn from the life saving charity at the group’s AGM.

Also during the meeting at Ryston Park Golf club near Downham Market, a cheque for �340.90 was presented to St Nicholas’ Chapel in King’s Lynn, which was the proceeds of the group’s working weekend at Stradsett in September.

Chairman Peter Thorpe and vice chairman Henry Howlett changed places, and new committee members are: Jim Wakefield, Melanie Wright, Ian Long, Mathew Hoy, Judy Webb and Jayne Carson.

Next year the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club East Anglia Group will run the Stradsett Park Vintage Rally on Sunday and Monday, May 5 and 6. Anyone interested in getting involved with the club can contact Chris Hunt on 01366 388907 or email membership@nvtec-ea.org.uk.
