VULNERABLE and disabled people living in 117 homes in Fenland have been provided with alarms that enable them to call for help at any time of day or night,
They have been given “dispersed alarms” – telephones linked to a control centre that is manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The alarms, provided by Fenland District Council, have helped people to carry on living independently at home, while reducing the demand on NHS services by enabling some people to be discharged from hospital earlier.
