COUNCIL watchdogs will visit Chatteris to make sure the public has its say on road safety schemes.

Cambridgeshire County Council's environment and community services scrutiny committee will look at five schemes in the county, including one for New Road, Chatteris.

Nichola Harrison, committee chairman, said: "It is our duty to make sure we are doing the best we possibly can in terms of consulting the public on these important and tricky issues. I would very much like to hear from anyone who has views about how the council consults the public on this issue, especially if you can suggest how we can make improvements."
