THE Middle Level Watermen's Club has reported a successful season so far, with all events well supported. On the social side, both the horse racing evening on March 10, and the cheese and wine party on April 21 were well attended events. Cruising events have also proved popular.
The Easter cruise to Ramsey and Wood Walton Nature Reserve, from April 6 to April 9, was attended by nine boats. Some members competed for trophies at the May Day holiday cruise to Bill-Fen Marina, over the May 5-7 weekend.
Meanwhile, club members have been working hard preparing for the Association of Nene River Clubs' annual rally, at Peterborough Yacht Club and where MLWC will strive to retain theRuby Plate trophy.
The next two club events are a Sunday lunch cruise to Flood's Ferry Caravan Park (May 20) and ANRC rally at PYC (May 25-28).
