SHOPPERS in March may have the chance to enjoy the continental market experience at a weekend.In a last-ditch effort to continue the visits from French traders, they may be asked to set up their stalls on a Sunday.French markets in Wisbech and Whittlesey have attracted large crowds, but after initial success March shoppers have given them the thumbs-down.Fenland District Council's market manager Mike Chapman has asked March Town Council for its views on a Sunday market in July. He is also asking for an official visit by the town's mayor to the market.He says: "The visiting French markets have had difficult trading times over the last visits to March. "However, the traders are willing to give it one more try in the hope things will improve on a different trading day.
