MEMBERS and Committee of the Welcome Club were entertained with a Christmas programme by the Primary School pupils and staff at the Methodist Church. Chairman Margaret Wright reported that the club bingo in November raised £426 and that there would be a visit to the Princess Theatre, Hunstanton, on Fenruary 6 to see the show 'Roll Out The Barrel'. Birthday buttonholes were made and given by Christine Knott and birthday cards by Joyce Reeve to Mrs L Neale, Mrs M Shaw, Mrs O Butler, Mrs Janet Ward, Mr G Oxbury and committee members Mrs A Skeggs and Mrs S Elsegood. Sylvia Calver presented a bouquet to Kath Bull for her 80th birthday and to Mabel Beckett for her 90th birthday. Veronica Nelson said grace before tea, prepared and served by Helen Wilson, Margaret Wright, Veronica Nelson, Fiona and Isabel Peters and Doreen Diggle. A collection for the school children raised £33.20.
