MAY I congratulate March branch of the Royal British Legion for organising a spectacular Festival of Remembrance and band concert, in St Peter’s Church on Friday November 12.
The concert, in aid of the 2010 Poppy Appeal, and given by Ely City Military Band, was a stirring mixture of marches and nostalgia, and the poignant readings by students of the Neale-Wade Community College, followed by the Service of Remembrance, a moving tribute to our troops.
Those who missed it were deprived of something very special, in a perfect setting.
