A WHEELIE bin was set on fire by arsonists in March.
A WHEELIE bin was set on fire by arsonists in March.
The blaze broke out in Elliott Road at 12.50am today (Friday, July 23).
Fire fighters extinguished the flames and returned to their station shortly after 1am but a spokesperson warned: “Don’t give potential arsonists the temptation.”
The spokesperson added: “Arson can be more of a problem during the summer when the warm, dry conditions allow fire to spread very quickly but you can reduce the risk to your home.”

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service also warned people not to leave anything flammable next to their homes and to store bins a secure location.
It also cautioned people against leaving bins out for collection too far in advance.
