MINCE pies and carols added to the festive atmosphere when the Whittlesey branch of the North East Cambridgeshire Conservative Association held a coffee morning.

The choir of Park Lane School entertained members and visitors at the Conservative Club while several charities including the Scaldgate Club and the Samaritans set up stalls selling an array of Christmas goodies.

Chairman of the Association Kay Mayor presented a cheque to Michael Clarke of Sue Ryder Care. The money had been raised by the Association at the Whittlesey Festival.

North East Cambs MP Stephen Barclay was there to draw tombola winners and those of other competitions.
