Fireman Jeff Carter has called it a day after 22 years service.
He started his career at Thorney Fire Station before transferring to Whittlesey. During his distinguished service, he attended hundreds of incidents.
He said: “I will miss working in such a close-knit team and the many friends I have made over the years.
“I loved every minute of being an on-call firefighter and recommend anyone who has ever thought about joining their on-call crew to go along to their local station and find out more.”
