A charity’s annual quiz night at The Ivy Leaf in Whittlesey was a resounding success.
The event was attended by 170 people and raised more than £2,000, which will go towards Life Education, a children’s health education programme developed by Whittlesey Rotary Club.
Steve Hodson, club representative, said: “A mobile classroom visits primary schools, equipped with all sorts of electronic wizardry, which the children love.
“It promotes healthy life choices in a fun way. Parents and teachers are also very keen as it really works.
“A brilliant time was had by all and next year’s quiz (which will be the 19th) is already booked for the November 20.”
