A Fenland school has received a much needed cash boost to buy new books.
Park Lane Primary school, Whittlesey, were donated £250 by the Norwich & Peterborough Building Society to help with the Accelerated Reader scheme.
Pupils read books and then do quizzes on the internet to test their knowledge.
Teacher Peter Ingham said: “We are delighted that Norwich & Peterborough Building Society could help us in this way.
“Reading for both children and adults is a valuable skill which has far reaching benefits. We know that the pupils will enjoy reading the new books that the money has bought.”
