AT the May WI meeting president Mimi Bashford welcomed members who voted in favour of the two resolutions to be tabled at the National Federation annual meeting in London.
Members will attend a quiz at West Walton in June and a garden party at March.
A scarecrow is being prepared for the Scarecrow Festival in St Andrew's Church on May 12-14 and the entry for the East of England Show is also being organised. The president read extracts from a letter from Elisabeth Mansfield, now living in Australia and thanked all members who had helped at the recent group meeting at March.
A quiz was arranged by Sandra Mina and Margaret Pickering and the competition was for a decorated egg. Date of the June outing will be decided later. The next meeting will be on Tuesday June 6 in St Andrew's Hall (7.30pm). It will be a surprise social evening and everyone is asked to wear a hat.
