A cat used up one of its nine lives when it got stuck behind a bathroom wall and had to be rescued by fire fighters.

Part of the wall had to be knocked through to get to the frightened animal.

The moggy followed its owner up a ladder into the attic but while up there managed to fall into the soil stack.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue said: “This cat had a lucky escape last night, after it got stuck behind a bathroom wall in Wilburton

“Fortunately firefighters from Cottenham were on hand to assist following a call from theRSPCA.
