WILFRED Keith Parish (Keith) died at his home, The Shrubbery, Chatteris, on Saturday September 2. He was 72. Mr Parish grew up in March and attended school there. After leaving school, Mr Parish worked as a farm labourer, first for Martin and Billett then

WILFRED Keith Parish (Keith) died at his home, The Shrubbery, Chatteris, on Saturday September 2. He was 72.

Mr Parish grew up in March and attended school there. After leaving school, Mr Parish worked as a farm labourer, first for Martin and Billett then B Negus at Manea. In 1968 he took on a small holding at Sewards. He stayed there until his retirement in 1999.

Mr Parish played Pentanque for the Cock at Chatteris, and won their sports personality of the year award for two consecutive years. He was also a keen domino and darts player. He also enjoyed spending time with his nine grandchildren.

In 1955 he married Mavis and the couple had three children, Linda Pollard of Huntingdon, Gillian Howard of Chatteris and Steven Parish, also of Chatteris.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 13 at 10.30am at Peterborough Crematorium.
