A bacon butty festival in Wimblington raised more than £700 for the village Christmas lights display.
More than 300 butties were enjoyed to help bring in £730 to boost the village festive lights display which this year will be bigger and better than ever.
Joanne Rose, who helped organise the event, said: “We have two bacon butty mornings a year, both to boost the Christmas lights funds.
“Plenty of people help out and residents donate raffle prizes. It means we can build a really impressive festive display for the village to enjoy.”
This year promises to be bigger and better than ever on Christmas lights switch on day on Sunday November 25.
The day will kick off at 3pm with a craft fayre in the parish hall.
Addison Road will be closed from 11.30am so that fairground rises and stalls can be set up in the street to give a safe family fun atmosphere.
Santa will visit on his sleigh and there will be a chance for a meet and greet with him followed by the grand switch on taking place at 6pm.
Thi year a village scenes calendar will also be helping to keep the lights money pot going with images thanks to local photographer Ruth Shroff. The calendars will be for sale on the switch on night for £8 each.
