A Wimblington man says he has lost his “pride and joy” after thieves stole his motorbike from his driveway in Pond Close overnight.

Jake Barber posted on the Facebook page March Cambridgeshire Free Discussion: “My orange and black Honda CBR 125 has just been stolen from my drive in Wimblington.

“If you see it please get in contact with me straight away, all my money went into that.

“It’s my pride and joy. The number plate is AK07 JYS.”

The Facebook post has since been shared more than 200 times.

A police spokesman said: “We were called at about 12.30am this morning (Thursday) with reports of the theft of a motorcycle in Pond Close, Wimblington.

“The orange Honda motorcycle was stolen from the driveway of a house between about 11.30pm last night (Wednesday) and 12.30am this morning.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
