A GROUP of Fenland air cadets have been recognised for their outstanding community work.
The Wisbech unit of the Girls Venture Corps Air Cadets (GVCAC) was named Best Unit of 2012 and presented with the Cecilia Jenkins Cup ay RAF Halton.
Unit Commandant Jessica Oliver accepted the trophy from Lady Humphries, Corps President.
She said: “I am very proud of the cadets whose dedication and commitment has been rewarded with this honour.”
The GVCAC is open to women between the ages of 11 – 20, who take part in camping, craft work, flying, canoeing and much more.
The Wisbech unit meets on Wednesday nights from 7-9pm at the ACF/ATC Cadet Centre, Sandyland Street, Wisbech.
