THIS year’s leavers bid farewell to Wisbech Grammar School at a lavish black tie dinner.
The stylish evening kicked off with a glass of Pimm’s, accompanied by the strains of the school’s swing band.
More than 50 A Level students and 24 members of staff tucked into salmon, chicken enchiladas, fresh strawberries and a lemon tart, which were prepared by head of food and nutrition Alison Sloan and her team.
Head of sixth form Deiniol Williams, who proposed the toasts to the leaving staff and the school, said: “Despite the weather, it was a fantastic way of saying goodbye to a memorable year group.”
