STUDENTS from Wisbech Grammar School have been treated to a close-up view of the cut and thrust of Parliamentary debate.
Four lower-sixth government and politics students were given a tour of the Palace of Westminster by NE Cambs MP Steve Barclay.
They witnessed the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Health, defending regional pay.
The group, which included two teachers, also took in the new Supreme Court, where seven of the Supreme Court judges were sitting, and visited Whitehall and Downing Street.
Tim Chapman, head of politics, said: βIt was extremely worthwhile to see the power brokers at work.β
