A hand gun that was found in Wisbech is set to be destroyed by police officers after it was discovered in the town.

“You wouldn’t want this pointed at you,” a spokesman for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said on a social media post.

They added: “This was found in Wisbech and turned out to be a BB gun which has been seized and will be destroyed by us.”

One person, curious as to why the gun was seized, said: “I thought B.B. guns were legal?”

Another replied: “A black gun is classed as a realistic imitation firearm.”
