WISBECH Library is celebrating World Book Night with a book giveaway on Tuesday,

They hope to encourage as many people as possible to discover what their library has to offer and collect a special free book.

Library staff will be on hand to give tours of the library highlighting all the different areas of stock and range of services provided.

There will also be displays in the Meeting Room about services such as the Library At Home Service, Online Information Service and E-audio & E-book offer.

James Nicol, development manager, Adult Library Services, said: “World Book Night is now in its third year and it’s a highly anticipated date in the libraries’ calendar.

“It’s an opportunity to go out and share the love of reading with our communities and encourage them to catch the reading bug.

“If you’re not able to pop along to one of the events you’ll also find a display in every library of books recommended by staff.

“You can collect an invitation from Wisbech Library which entitles you and a guest to a World Book Night book, drink and nibbles.”

Book Night takes place on April 23, from 5-7:30pm.
