A £200 donation from the Wisbech Lions helped buy a crucial piece of medical equipment which could make the difference between life and death.
Their contribution allowed Wisbech Community First Responders to acquire a Pulse-Oximeter, which is used to measure a patient’s pulse and oxygen level.
It provides the responder with accurate initial assessment information which will be passed onto the full time ambulance staff when they arrive.
First responder Peter Goodey, co-ordinator of the Wisbech group, visited the Lions to thank them for their support.
First Responders attend emergencies, ranging from collapses to accidents.
