Eight members of the Wisbech Meadowgate Volunteer Police Cadets enjoyed a day out in London visiting the Palace of Westminster.

They also visited the Home Office where they were hosted by MP Mike Penning, the minister for policing, fire and criminal justice and victims, members of his team and Inspector Simon Corbin and Eleanor Jolly.

They had a tour of the Houses of Parliament and had their photo taken on the terrace over looking the River Thames and the London Eye.

News of the trip posted on the Policing Wisbech Facebook page drew lots of likes.

Policing Wisbech wrote: “We were made to feel so welcome and the cadets had an experience of a lifetime. A long journey so very worth it and the cadets did Cambridgeshire so proud.”
