Students and staff from Meadowgate School have said thank you to a Wisbech shop worker after she raised over £200 for the school.
Wisbech Co-operative store’s June Skinner raised £209 for the school, based on Meadowgate Lane.
Mrs Skinner and her colleague, Sandra Marriott visited the school on Thursday to present a cheque.
The cheque was received by Sixth Form students that have benefitted from the school’s close links with the store.
The Co-op has supported Sixth Form students to become part of the team through a regular work placement where they make up packaging for the store’s bakery department.
This offers valuable skills in problem solving; communication, team work and employment.
