THOSE who nominated him to carry the Olympic torch say he “personifies courage, determination and inspiration”
Wisbech schoolboy Kieron Green, 12, who carried the torch through part of Lincolnshire on Wednesday is all of that: diagnosed at the age of four with diabetes his young life has been a constant battle.
But, in the words of the nomination which won him a place in the torch relay “he has had to cope with an enormous amount of personal challenge and has overcome this with great dignity and modesty.”
The whole of Thomas Clarkson Community College cheered as he held aloft the Olympic flame- a day Kieron will never forget.
