A FENLAND shopping centre is celebrating a landmark anniversary with a photograph display.
The Horsefair Shopping Centre, Wisbech, has created a display showing the town before it was built 25 years ago.
A collection of 14 photographs will be displayed in the store window opposite the centre’s Peacocks store until the end of August.
The centre is also inviting shoppers to share their old photos of the centre via its Facebook page.
Horsefair manager, Kevin Smith: “It is brilliant that the centre has such a rich history. I have spoken to lots of shoppers about our photo display and quite a few were here on the opening day 25 years ago.”
A huge crowd attended the official opening of the centre by Noel Edmunds in 1988.
The photos are also displayed on the centre’s website at www.horsefairshoppingcentre.co.uk
