A race night in memory of a stillborn baby has raised a staggering £2,840.

The Let’s Talk about William Charity Race Night, at Wisbech Town Cricket and Hockey Club, raised vital funds for a charity set up in memory of William King, who was born asleep on July 2.

His parents are friends and former members of the club.

Let’s Talk About William raises awareness of still birth and neonatal deaths. The money raised will be going towards supporting families that are tragically going through horrendous heartache and loss.

The event organisers said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to all of the sponsors and everyone that supported the event.

“The amount raised would not have been possible without you.”
